"All
mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man
dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated
into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated...As
therefore the bell that rings to a sermon, calls not upon
the preacher only, but upon the congregation to come: so
this bell calls us all: but how much more me, who am brought
so near the door by this sickness....No man is an island,
entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because
I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know
for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee." John
Donne (1572-1631)
As
the nation addresses such epidemics as obesity, heart disease
and diabetes, we all become aware of how these preventive
diseases are affecting the workforce and future generations.
We are coming to the realization that there are connections
to everything and everyone that affects the health of many.
“No man is an island” this means an “all
hands on deck” approach. “Government must work
with corporations, corporations must work with small business,
small business must work with the workforce and all must
combine to work for the health of the nation’s poor
and underserved.
Our
resource guide not only addresses the health of the nation
through higher collaborations with public and private health
entities, this guide will act as a thread that weaves together
holistic, integrative medicine along with public health
services, insurance companies and wellness practitioners
from all walks of Life. We will present our cultural/ethnic
heritage communities through their food, spiritual worship
and entertainment; all to demonstrate the power of knowledge
of self and others and we will show how changing the dynamics
of economics through green job creation and special attention
paid to the political climate globally will change the way
we eat, drink and interact as human beings.
“Life,
Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”…
is an oft quoted line in our constitution that bears repeating,
time and time again while we remember what made this country
a haven for the “tired and poor huddled masses yearning
to breathe free…”
Join
us as we reveal the avenues to prosperity and open a fascinating
world of fitness, spiritual knowledge of diverse cultures
and practical applications for economic development through
healthier lifestyles.
This
guide is a history book that will chronicle the new movement
of body, mind and spirit for those generations yet to be
born. Your presence within its pages will be that that shows
the nation and the world your company, services or organization
understands “for whom the bell tolls…”
May the Creator bless you all with prosperity, long life
and health?
